| Organized Around The Clock (OATC) provides professional organizing services for the home and office in the Greater Boston and South Shore area. Cheryl Nelson PT, founder of OATC, has been in the business for 5 years as a professional organizer. She is an active member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), the New England Chapter (NAPO-NE) where she serves as Board Chapter Secretary 2006-2007 and the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD). She has been quoted in Patriot Ledger articles on several organizing topics. She also is a Massachusetts licensed Physical Therapist with over 13 years of experience. Cheryl is committed to providing excellent, efficient and confidential services. She participates in the community by donating services to school, church and YMCA functions, and is an active volunteer with the Women @ Work program in Dorchester, Ma. A wife and mother of two active boys, she understands the pressures of trying to run a business, 'do it all' and still stay sane. Cheryl entered into the organizing industry during her years of PT work. She has always enjoyed working directly with people to get results, and help them stay motivated to focus on meeting their goals. She appreciates the differences in each client as they face the challenge of breaking old habits and creating new organized ones. With her medical background, Cheryl has an understanding of the physical challenges people can face in times of illness or stress from life circumstances. She understands ergonomics and injury prevention. CLUTTER unchecked IS a safety hazard. TIME unmanaged IS stressful and can result in health problems. She is a believer in the importance of a 'm ind & body' connection. Organized Around The Clock aims to provide and teach real organizing solutions (not the big myth of perfection), to enable clients to focus on what matters most in life to them. Here's what Organized Around The Clock clients are saying: "I first called Cheryl after reading an article featuring her in the Patriot Ledger. I really needed help organizing my home. My father had died the previous year and most of his belongings were stored in my house. I was very depressed as I faced the sad task of sorting through his things. I also had the left-over furniture amassed by my in-laws and the layers of outgrown toys and treasures of five children ages 9 to mid 20's. In the little space left for (our) stuff I felt nearly suffocated by the weight of it all. There was so much to do, and I simply didn't know where to begin. Cheryl came to my house to assess my situation. She was cheerful and nonjudgmental as I conveyed my anguish. Thanks to her positive attitude, organizing skills, hard work, unflagging energy and compassion, years of unused possessions found new homes, or were otherwise appropriately disposed of. What had once seemed a nearly impossible task to undertake was no longer overwhelming. I can't say enough about the help I have received from Cheryl. Thanks to her, such a burden has been lifted from me. My whole family is grateful. " Brenda (Scituate) "Cheryl helped my parents go through and organize a basement full of boxes that had been through 3 moves without being opened. She also helped them to get their offices and personal papers in order. She did it with good humor, and was always sensitive to their needs, making many helpful suggestions, but not imposing her own ideas or pushing too hard. One task she accomplished was putting all of my father's stamps into the appropriate stamp albums. It may seem like a small thing, but it gave him huge satisfaction to know that it was done. She turned what seemed to be an impossible task into something manageable. I would recommend Cheryl for any and all organizational needs." Judy (Duxbury) "I have done business with other organizers, (but) Cheryl Nelson is the best. I think one of her main attributes is that she gets to know the person she is working with and matches her organizing technique with her client's personality. She knows instinctively that it is not just about 'organizing' - there are many layers to a person's needs and being in sync with these needs produces the best results." Rita (S. Weymouth) |
